An inspiring talk on Land Art for adults, followed by a hands-on workshop where participants of all ages can experience Land Art in practice.
We will introduce Land Art as an artistic approach that, since the second half of the 20th century, has expanded the boundaries of visual art beyond gallery spaces and into the landscape itself. The presentation will focus on the relationship between the artwork, the natural environment, time, changing weather conditions, and the viewer’s experience.
Participants will become familiar with the basic principles of Land Art, working with natural materials, and examples of significant landscape-based artworks. We will demonstrate how contemporary art can respond sensitively to a specific place, its atmosphere, history, and natural character.
The aim is to introduce the public to creative possibilities in open landscapes and to encourage the perception of art as a natural part of the environment in which we live.
The workshop will offer opportunities to develop a deeper connection with nature, creativity, and contemporary art. Participants will create simple artistic objects using natural materials found directly in the surrounding landscape—such as branches, leaves, stones, grass, clay, or fruit.
Under the guidance of the workshop leaders, participants will discover how the landscape can be perceived not only as a place for movement and relaxation, but above all as a space for imagination, play, and creativity. The workshop will foster sensitivity to the natural environment, personal imagination, and the joy of making art.
The outcome will be small temporary artworks or a collaborative site-specific installation created directly at the event location.
