Divadlo Normálka, in its new venue Bytové divadlo Na prízemí, presents the first episode of an ambitious project — a serial theatre production.
The story of Bytovka unfolds in the shared spaces of an unnamed apartment building somewhere in Slovakia. In their “Assembly Room” — as the tenants humorously call it — both cheerful and perhaps slightly bittersweet stories of the residents come to life.
In the very first episode, titled “If You Can Hear Us, Knock Twice!”, audiences will meet the core group of apartment owners and tenants. You’ll be so close to them that you may almost become part of their world. New connections and friendships might form — or things may turn out quite differently than the creators originally intended. And it’s entirely possible the story won’t end at all… but continue next time. Anything is possible.
