Programme at LUMó HUB during the opening weekend of Trenčín 2026 (13–15 February)
LUMó HUB is the space of the Sustainable Fashion Laboratory within Trenčín 2026 – a place where education, community, design, and hands-on experience meet. We do not offer a single answer or a “correct style.” Instead, we offer a map: how the fashion system works, what material choices mean, how to extend the life of garments, and how to return to craftsmanship, repair, and a conscious wardrobe.
Over the course of two days, you can look forward to open upcycling workshops, public presentations of the first window installation, a fashion performance, and an evening concert.
SATURDAY, 14 FEBRUARY | 8:00 – 20:00
Day 2: HUB in the city – public, procession, performance
8:00 – 11:00 | Open workshop (no registration required)
A morning block for early visitors: a scarf upcycling workshop, time for questions, and short inputs on how sustainability can be lived without an “eco label.”
We will upcycle curatorially selected scarves from the Textile House second-hand store – each piece is an original. Choose your own and transform it in the workshop into a unique accessory. It is both a gift and an invitation: an easy entry point into the topic that you can take home as your own adapted piece.
A “soft entry” for people who want to come without crowds. You leave with a tangible outcome and a personal connection to the topic.
11:30 | Carnival procession through the city: A celebration of the city and culture
Welcoming the carnival procession and a special fashion-performative moment with live music at LUMó HUB – a visual “process moment” designed to spark curiosity and invite people inside. Under the direction of choreographer Chilli, dancers from Anna kolektiv will perform in styling made from existing garments – fashion with a second life in motion, featuring original styling by Majytel (Dávid Mihalovič). Musically accompanied by the band OuOus.
LUMó steps out of the interior into public space. Audiences take away a clear visual message – fashion is not only a problem, but also a space for beauty, skill, and local identity. The styling works with layering and warmth – just like the workshop inside the HUB.
12:30 – 20:00 | Afternoon at the HUB: workshop, stories, DJ set (no registration required)
An open HUB for the public: a scarf upcycling workshop using pieces from Textile House, plus quizzes, mini-explanations, and tips for everyday wardrobes. The atmosphere and community rhythm of the space will be carried by DJ Tess – you can drop by at any time.
15:00 – 15:30 | Curatorial introduction to the HUB: What LUMó is and how to read the first window installation
A short introduction for those who want to understand the context and meet guests from the field of fashion design.
