The City as a Body is a series of site-specific dance-performative situations in which urban space becomes a living organism. Urban still lifes function as a memento of the present moment and invite audiences to walk between stillness and action, shadow and light, past and present, intensity and disillusionment.
Ritual processions for a new era, movement in transit, and temporary “flights” transform streets, interior spaces, and their mutual intersections into a performative landscape. The performers work with the boundaries between contemporary dance and elements of street and club dances, between intimate gesture and public space.
The project offers a series of unique dance experiences in which spectators become part of the movement of the city and its rhythm.
The Anna Collective is a Bratislava-based group of dancers and performers focused on research, atmosphere, and the meaning of the act of dancing and performing itself. The project is developed under the curatorial and choreographic leadership of Katarína Chilli Čillíková.
