Programme at the LUMó HUB during the opening weekend of Trenčín 2026 (13–15 February)
LUMó HUB is the space of the Sustainable Fashion Lab within Trenčín 2026 – a place where education, community, design, and hands-on experience come together. We do not offer a single answer or a “correct style.” Instead, we offer a map: how the fashion system works, what material choices mean, how to extend the life of garments, and how to return to craft, repair, and a conscious wardrobe.
Over two days, you can look forward to open scarf upcycling workshops, public launches of the first window installation, a fashion performance, and an evening concert.

Day 1: First encounter with the HUB
8:00 – 12:00 | Schools at the LUMó HUB: Introduction to sustainable fashion
The LUMó HUB introduces itself to schools as a living laboratory – a place where sustainable fashion can be understood through stories, materials, and hands-on experience. Pupils and students take part in a curator-led introduction and a series of short activities at several stations inside and outside the HUB.

This block opens the HUB as a “laboratory in practice.” Schools leave with an initial map of how fashion functions as a system – and with a simple principle: change begins in the details (material, choice, care, repair).
13:00 – 17:00 | Open studio: A scarf as an invitation
The LUMó HUB opens its studio to the public. We upcycle curator-selected scarves from the Textile House second-hand store – each piece is unique. Choose yours and transform it in the workshop into a one-of-a-kind accessory. It is both a gift and an invitation: an easy entry into the topic that you can take home in the form of your own modified piece.The workshop translates sustainability from abstract language into meaningful action. You leave with an altered scarf and the experience that sustainability can be aesthetic, practical, and immediately usable.
17:00 – 18:00 | Opening ceremony: Unveiling of the first window installation (by invitation)

The ceremony sets the tone of the HUB: aesthetics and content go hand in hand. Guests leave with a clear idea of what LUMó will bring in 2026 – and with the first visual “signature” in the form of the installation.
18:00 – 19:00 | Curatorial introduction to the HUB
A short curatorial talk for the public: what LUMó is, why the HUB is being created, and how to read the first window installation.The introduction reinforces the HUB’s direction: aesthetics and content go together. Visitors gain a clear understanding of LUMó’s vision and its first visual statement.
19:00 – 20:00 | Concert by Dávid Bílek (public) + warm drink
An evening gathering at the HUB in an informal rhythm: the workshop continues, the space stays alive, and music brings us together. The concert is open to the public.The HUB comes to life. We celebrate through making, meeting, and sharing a collective moment.
