Slovnorama is a fresh Norwegian–Slovak music project in which Nordic melancholy meets Slovak temperament. It is led by Slovak singer and actress Vanessa Weisz and Norwegian musician and producer Erling Ramskjell, whose collaboration began during Erling’s residency in Trenčín as part of the TREBØ project.
What was originally planned as a one-off concert quickly evolved into a full-fledged band bringing together Norwegian musicians and members of the Trenčín City Chamber Orchestra. Slovnorama introduced itself to the scene with two singles, Dočkať nádeje and the bilingual track Lat som, in which Slovak and Norwegian naturally intertwine.
The project is rooted in the search for a shared language between different cultural and musical worlds, an intimate mode of expression, and the blending of electronic and acoustic instruments.
