The procession will culminate in a spectacular joint performance full of singing, dancing, and Carnival merriment. Mierové Square will transform into one large stage, where laughter, music, and colourful masks will ensure that not a single spectator remains untouched. The rhythm will carry everyone along—young and old alike—and the joy will flow directly from the performers to the audience.
The unforgettable atmosphere will be created by children’s and folklore ensembles DFS Čakanka, DFS Kornička, DFS Radosť, FS Trenčan, FS Kopaničiar, FS Považan, FS Mladosť, FS Vršatec, FTS Trúfalci, Škrupinka, Nadšenci, CirKusKus, and others, who together will set the entire square dancing and singing in the true Carnival spirit.
A significant moment of the programme will also be the symbolic handover of the imaginary baton on stage, carried out by prominent figures of Trenčín’s sporting community – footballer Martin Fabuš, a long-time pillar of Slovak football and former national team player, and Marián Hossa, legendary ice hockey player, three-time Stanley Cup champion, and member of the Hockey Hall of Fame. In this symbolic gesture, Trenčín transitions from a City of Sport to a City of Culture, highlighting the unique connection between tradition, movement, and art.
