The second dance journey through the Myjava kopanice will be hosted by Hostinec U Klačkov in its beautiful garden.
This dance event is based on the work of dancers Anna Sedlačková, Eva Klimáčková and Daniel Raček, whose practice approaches the landscape, the people who live in it, and its history with respect. The performance How to Watch a Moving Body / Dance Picnic returns to the place where it originated – the Myjava kopanice – and will be enriched by the participation of the local community, both children and adults.
The performance organically invites spectators to become performers and encourages everyone to share the same space without hierarchies. Recycling energy, gestures, shared words, and exploring both the inner world and the surrounding environment form part of its vocabulary of words and movement. Both words and movement become guides through the landscape.
Recommendations for picnic participants: bring a hat or other head covering, waterproof footwear, a raincoat in case of bad weather, something to drink, fruit, a sandwich for an afternoon snack, and a biscuit. And pack it all in your lunch bag.
