BUTY formed in 1986 in the Vítkovice district of Ostrava and over nearly forty years have built an unmistakable signature – poetry, humour and strong melodies all in one. Some of their songs have become true folk classics: Mám jednu ruku dlouhou, František, Vrána and Krtek. Their music has featured in acclaimed films such as Jízda and Tajnosti, and the band has received numerous prestigious awards including the Czech Lion and the Anděl. Led by Radek Pastrňák, BUTY remain after forty years a band that belongs on stage. Their concerts are not a nostalgic trip – they are a living encounter with audiences across generations.
