Hockey is culture too. Zdeno Chára will symbolically bid farewell to his extraordinary hockey career in his hometown of Trenčín. The farewell game, Zee’s Final Shift, will bring stars of Slovak and international hockey to the Pavol Demitra Ice Stadium.
But hockey will also come alive in the city centre. Starting at 1:00 PM, a free Fan Zone will be open in front of ODA, featuring concerts, hockey activities, competitions, and more accompanying programme.
Trenčín 2026 is a partner of Zee’s Final Shift.

In the evening, the programme will continue at the Pavol Demitra Ice Stadium, where Zdeno Chára’s farewell game will take place.
Team Boston and Team World will face off on the ice. The line-up will feature well-known names from Slovak and international hockey, including David Pastrňák, Jaromír Jágr, Patrice Bergeron, Ray Bourque, Anže Kopitar, Marián Hossa, Miroslav Šatan, Žigmund Pálffy, and Jaroslav Halák.
