Trenčín in your wallet? We’re sparking curiosity.
The National Bank of Slovakia is issuing 1,000,000 two-euro coins featuring the motif Trenčín 2026 – European Capital of Culture.
Now, each of us can carry a piece of culture in our pocket.
Come to the Cultural and Information Centre on 21 January and exchange 2 euros for a two-euro coin with a unique design, so you can keep Trenčín with you at all times.
The exchange is cash only and limited to a maximum of 25 coins per person.
The number of coins available at the Cultural and Information Centre is limited.
The winning coin design was created by Czech artist BcA. Klára Fojtů.
