As part of the European Capital of Culture Trenčín 2026 programme, we invite families with children as well as the general public to an exceptional theatre experience in the unconventional setting of the Italian travelling truck theatre TEATRI MOBILI, which will park directly in Trenčín. During the afternoon hours, audiences can look forward to a unique fusion of original puppet theatre, music, and visual poetry in the magical Camionteatro area, featuring an exhibition of puppet automata, an Italian café, and a concert. 🎭
Admission to the performances is free of charge.
Due to the limited capacity of the truck theatre, advance registration is required. We recommend registering as early as possible, as the number of seats is limited and individual time slots may fill up quickly.

The programme consists of two exceptional productions using original, patented puppetry techniques that appeal to both children and adults through gentle, wordless storytelling, powerful imagery, and a magical atmosphere enhanced by the unconventional space of the theatre truck.
The first performance is MANOVIVA – an enchanting circus with miniature finger puppets, presented by the duo Girovago & Rondella from the collective Teatri Mobili. In this intimate puppet theatre, an entire circus micro-world is created directly from the performers’ hands. Fingers transform into acrobats, dancers, and strongmen, and before the audience’s eyes a playful, poetic, and surprisingly emotional story unfolds. The performance is suitable for children from 3 years of age, families with children, and adults who wish to immerse themselves for a moment in the world of circus fantasy 🎪.

The second title is ANTIPODI – a visual and musical object theatre performance about a great dream by the Italian group Compagnia Dromosofista. The production is based on the idea that every point on Earth has its antipode. It invites audiences on a fantastical journey to places that are unreachable, yet through dreaming can be approached, at least for a moment. This poetic figurative object theatre combines puppets, shadow play, and pantomime with live music and singing. Its visually rich and image-driven language develops an extraordinary story that stimulates imagination, perception, and sensitive reflection on the world and its diversity. The performance is intended for audiences aged 7 and up and offers a powerful experience for older children and adults alike ✨.

We kindly ask you to arrive at the Teatri Mobili area at least 10 minutes before the start of the performance to ensure smooth entry and calm seating. The truck interior will be heated. Before or after the performance, you can visit a small exhibition of mechanical puppet automata or enjoy specialties from the Italian café accompanied by a concert.
