A group exhibition by a collective of Romanian artists represented by Un concept Luna gallery, Suceava, Romania.

“”Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less.”” – Marie Curie.

The exhibition draws on the metaphor of the “”boiling frog””, describing the human inability to respond to the slow, gradual erosion of freedoms, rights and certainties until it is too late. Inspired by the Marie Curie quote, it points to the need for understanding as a means of confronting fear and social crises. The artists pose uncomfortable yet fundamental questions about the limits of personal freedom, responsibility, solidarity and moral decision-making in extreme, even Orwellian scenarios. Through their works, space opens for self-reflection – both individual and collective – in situations of the slow decline of democracy and human rights. The exhibition is both a warning and a challenge: to look current problems directly in the eye and name them before they become irreversible.
