Trenčín 2026 at Pohoda Festival

Pohoda 2026 will be one of the places where music, art, freedom, and curiosity come together. Once again, the festival at Trenčín Airport will open up a space for shared experiences, unexpected encounters, and an energy that reaches beyond the boundaries of both the city and the country.

Pohoda is more than a festival. For a few days, it becomes a place where people, ideas, music, conversations, and even the silence between concerts come together. In 2026, this gathering will carry an even deeper significance, taking place at a time when Trenčín holds the title of European Capital of Culture Trenčín 2026.

The airport grounds will once again transform into a vibrant space where culture is not only observed, but truly experienced. Pohoda 2026 will bring concerts, discussions, theatre, literature, visual art, and moments that emerge spontaneously between people. This is where its strength lies: in its ability to connect different generations, countries, opinions, and artistic worlds.

For Trenčín 2026, Pohoda is a natural partner in awakening curiosity. It shows that culture can be an open playground, a shared table, and a bridge to Europe. We invite you to be part of it and experience how our city becomes a place where the energy of a festival meets the story of European culture.

Curiosity Workshops Trenčín 2026

The Curiosity Workshops Trenčín 2026 will bring a space for creativity, relaxation, and playful discovery to the Pohoda Festival. Visitors of all ages will be able to take part in creative workshops focused on sustainability, upcycling, and new ways of using materials that would otherwise end up as waste.

In addition to the workshops, the zone will offer interactive activities for children and adults that combine relaxation, play, and shared experiences.

The program will include an unconventional interactive musical instrument made from PVC pipes, inviting spontaneous exploration of sounds, rhythms, and collective music-making regardless of age or musical experience.

There will also be a large collaborative coloring mural created gradually throughout the festival, as well as interactive furniture elements designed for relaxing, playing, and socializing.

The Curiosity Workshops will create a place where creativity connects with community, playfulness, and a sustainable approach to materials and shared public space.

Workshop Trenčín 2026: Create Upcycled Fashion Accessories from Terry Towels

Workshop schedule: Thursday, Friday, Saturday / 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Location: Curiosity Workshops Trenčín 2026

The Sustainable Fashion Laboratory workshop offers a simple and practical introduction to textile upcycling. Everyone who participates can contribute, through a small step, to the change the fashion industry needs.

In cooperation with Textile House, participants will transform used towels and bathrobes into new wearable items—terry-cloth hats, bags, and shorts. The workshop focuses on working with existing materials, experimenting with shape, volume, and function, and discovering new uses for textiles that have already fulfilled their original purpose.

Participants can take their creations home and immediately use them in the festival environment.

Workshop Trenčín 2026: Create Upcycled Phone Cases, Wallets, and Keychains from Banners

Workshop schedule: Thursday, Friday, Saturday / 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Location: Curiosity Workshops Trenčín 2026

Get inspired by ecology and change the way you view waste. This workshop, organized in cooperation with ODPADNESH, will demonstrate how leftover materials can be transformed into practical everyday products.

Using banners previously displayed at Trenčín 2026 events, participants will create various upcycled accessories, such as phone cases, small wallets for cash or cards, keychains, or other practical pouches. The result will be a simple, functional, and original product with its own story, complemented by a strap made from recycled cotton.

The workshop also has a social dimension. Product templates were developed in cooperation with disadvantaged women, mothers, and people at risk of poverty. Through this work, they gain professional experience, improve their living conditions, and become involved in the workforce.

Why are so many people turning away from public space today? Can we still believe that shared public matters are meaningful? What motivates us to stay engaged in our city, community, or country despite fatigue and frustration?

A discussion about our relationship with public affairs, civic responsibility, and belonging. About why it is easier to retreat into private life, but also about what can emerge when people cooperate, take an interest in their surroundings, and stop believing that “nothing can be changed anyway.”

A conversation about trust, solidarity, community, and rebuilding our relationship with our city, our country, and one another.

Discussion Trenčín 2026: How Do We Move Forward?

  • Tomáš Hudák (comedian and writer)

Culture is currently going through a difficult period due to growing political pressures, uncertainty, and social tensions. Nevertheless, projects, places, and communities continue to emerge that bring people together and remind us that staying connected still matters.

A discussion about where to find hope, energy, and motivation to keep moving forward. About the power of music, humor, films, gatherings, and shared experiences to create closeness and trust. About why it still makes sense to create, collaborate, and resist retreating into isolated bubbles.

Concert Trenčín 2026: Tautumeitas (Latvia)

Friday: 12:45 PM – 1:45 PM

Trenčín 2026 European Capital of Culture, in cooperation with Liepāja 2027, presents an unforgettable concert by the Latvian “forest fairies” Tautumeitas.

Tautumeitas is a six-member Latvian group operating at the intersection of Baltic folk traditions and contemporary music production. Their music is rooted in ancient melodies and vocal techniques, while their sound has evolved beyond genre boundaries, combining folk elements with a modern sonic approach and powerful live energy.

They have performed across Europe, Australia, and Asia, appearing at festivals such as Glastonbury, Eurosonic, Rudolstadt, and Festival du Bout du Monde. Their live performances are among their greatest strengths—immersive, visually striking, and built around layered vocals, synchronized movement, and a subtle ritualistic energy that captivates audiences.

In 2025, they represented Latvia at Eurovision, finishing 13th and expanding their international reach. They plan to release new music in June 2026 and further strengthen their presence on the European scene, with their first U.S. concerts scheduled for early 2027.

Concert Trenčín 2026: MonoPlastic (Slovakia)

Saturday: 3:15 PM – 4:15 PM

Can a band make it from a garage to major stages? On our festival stage, absolutely. Thanks to cooperation with the Pohoda Festival, the journey of young talents does not end on the Garage Stage. This year, MonoPlastic is proof of that. Pohoda selected the band from our list of ten emerging music discoveries and included them in its official program, giving them the opportunity to perform for a new audience at one of Slovakia’s largest festivals.

MonoPlastic is a Slovak duo operating somewhere between electro-rock, post-punk, and club electronics. Their music combines heavy synths, deep bass lines, robotic vocals, guitar riffs, and drum machines into an intense sound balancing between a concert and a rave. They describe their style as “plutonium electro-rock.”

Their live performances are about more than music. Distinctive performance art, striking visuals, and theatrical energy are integral elements that make MonoPlastic seem tailor-made for night stages and club venues. Futuristic aesthetics, dance rhythms, and post-punk rawness come together in a form that feels unique and confident within the Slovak music scene.

Live, MonoPlastic delivers an intense, danceable, and visually compelling experience. And if you have never heard a punk version of Meky’s song Do člna, that is yet another good reason to stop by their set.
