Survey and Concert? (Trenčín 2026 + Chiki liki tu-a)

On the occasion of Europe Day, we invite you to the event “Survey and Concert?”, which will definitely spark your curiosity – we’re combining knowledge and a musical experience. First, we’ll dive into how we perceive culture and life in our city, and later we’ll enjoy a concert by the beloved band from Prešov – Chiki liki tu-a, known for their absurd humor, energetic performance, and a touch of Eastern Slovak folklore.

Why a survey and a concert?

Because they go together perfectly! First – knowledge: a shared look into the mirror of our city and its people. And then – fun: because what’s a better way to celebrate Europe Day than with good music in the company of friends?

PROGRAMME:

17:00 Coffee Sheep Café, Matúšova 22:

“Are we cultured?” – a presentation of a large-scale survey about the people of Trenčín. Presentation and discussion. You’ll find answers (not only) to these questions:

How satisfied are we with our lives in Trenčín?

How much do we trust public institutions, as well as the people living around us?

How do we perceive the Trenčín 2026 project and the city of Trenčín itself?

Do we participate in cultural life, and which activities interest the people of Trenčín the most?

The survey was conducted by the research team DATA26, which monitors how culture is transforming Trenčín, in collaboration with the agency Focus.

20:00 Coffee Sheep Terrace, Marka Aurélia 9: Chiki liki tu-a concert

After the survey presentation, you will have the opportunity to join the “Hand in Hand for Our Europe” initiative. As part of this project, people from cities across Europe form a living chain to symbolically demonstrate that they, too, are a proud part of Europe.

The initiators of “Hand in Hand for Our Europe” are MEP Ľubica Karvašová from the Renew Europe political group and Jozef Viskupič, Chairman of the Trnava Self-Governing Region and President of the Association of Self-Governing Regions of Slovakia (SK8).

Panel Discussion:
– Moderator: Erik Stopka, Editor-in-Chief of MY Noviny, trencin.sme.sk
